Yesterday my wife and I visited Napleton Nissan, Blue Heron Blvd., Palm beach, FL. It was in response to an advertisement, Palm Beach Post, March 13, 2010 - advertising New Nissan For Sale. As an example, a new 2010 Nissan Altima, 2.5S Sales Price $13,977. Fine print indicated some condtions however, to fully understand it, it needed to be explained by a Sales person. We found the experience the worse ever. The Sales person immediately asked us to his office, not necessarily to gather info about us, rather, to explain the Sales Price - which is a net price after adding amounts to the $13,977. The price is assuming the following; a down payment/trade in equity of $3,500; any incetives/rebates including $1,000 if you are a Toyota owner, a recent Collegae grad, within 2 years-$500; Dealer prep and fees-aprox. another $1,000; and afew other cost-resulting in a purchase price of aprox $20,000. (couldn't buy the car if you have $13,977 in cash). This is one of the worst examples of misleading, misrepresentation I have experienced. Neddles to say, we left immedaitely and proceeded to call our friends and neighbors realting our awful experience. i relate this tactic to the sterotype of the new/used Car sales of old - bait the consumer, get them in and try to 'hoodwink' them. They should change there Name to "Jim Bobs Car Sales, Waco Texas".
